Hi there! This is me Gabriele (Gabu) - the creator of Bagabú! I am currently 28 and I've been on a Bagabú journey since the age of 23-ish. I changed my path from working in the visual communication industry to a very crafty and artisanal journey. And you can't even imagine how much I love handcrafted things 😍. The products filled with the magic of creator has always meant something special to me and I am trying to share that with you through my ethical & crafty Bagabú. ☀️Fun fact - I started the whole project simply because it was very challenging to find a job in the small Italian town, where I used to live (I was still doing some freelancing projects but I wanted something more, something bigger and more fulfilling). Now, more than 5 years later, I've come a long way with Bagabú, but lately, I have been contemplating a lot in my head about why I do what I do? And I'd say these are the main reasons 👇 1. I really ❤️ to do things by hand.
The creation process is magical and it's a very satisfying feeling to create something useful and valuable from scratch. 2. Time flies with Bagabú. 🌠
It's very easy to lose the track of time, when working on my projects (in a very positive way). It's some sort of mindfulness moment, when you're fully indulged in doing something you love. 3. I want to contribute to a better tomorrow🌱
I love fashion, but it's not a secret that fashion is one of the most harmful industries. I wanted to prove that my passion for textiles and colours can be transmitted into something that doesn't bring extra harm to the nature and future generations. When I think about it - there are many more reasons why I love what I do, but that I'll leave for another time. 📝 To conclude - it's true that getting your own brand & company off the ground is an extremely challenging task, but I know for a fact that it's 1000% worth it ❤️ The rewarding feeling of the small victories and milestones is something I wish for everyone to experience 🏆
